Hi everyone.

Have just got back from taking Willow to the vets, have been concerned about some funny breathing (or struggling to breathe) episodes shes been having.

Looks like its potentially something called a elongated soft palate. Shes having the check for this in her upcoming spay operation, but the vet seemed pretty sure that this would be the root of her problem.

Im just wondering if theres anyone else in the group who's had experience of this problem? especially in regards to how things are after the surgery to correct it?

Thanks
Vicki

Lan Ping has just had surgery for this exact problem. He was referred to a specialist in Kenilworth to have the work done. They also widened his nostrils while he was under anaesthetic and he's recovering well. His breathing is less laboured already and he makes a lot less noise when he breathes so it seems to have made a difference.
