Everyone asks me where my name came from so I thought I would tell you. It was understood that I was born in Quebec, Canada so that made me a french baby. My family is part french canadian part british so there half and half just like me. Anyway, long, long before me they had a water spaniel (from my people's home town in PQ) and his name was Pitou and they loved him lots. Then I came into their lives and my DeeDee (his name is really David) wanted to call me the same but NeeNee (her name is really Denise) wanted to change the spelling to Piteux (which is french for pitiable - huh, that's not true, no one pities this little french guy). That's how I got my name. Anyway, most everyone calls me "twoie" 'cause everywhere my Matilda Jane goes me "twoie" goes too! Hope you are all having a good day. Piteux Jacques , ruler of the universe.
I decided to let my kids name our new addition to the family...ofcourse, I wanted some "froo-froo" name since I was getting a "fancy" pup...but I "bit my tongue" & let my 3 kids decide & vote on a name for this adorable puppy, thus came JACK!! So common, so American, so innocent...plus letting the kid's naming their family puppy! JACK is AWESOME & fits our family to the utmost!

I'm glad to know where my new friends' names come from! My mom actually picked out my name before she picked me out -- she knew she'd be getting a little girl and wanted to choose a name that was unusual and meaningful. Sita is the heroine of a Hindu epic, The Ramayana. She was the beautiful wife of Rama, was kidnapped by a demon and rescued by her husband, his brothers, Hanuman the monkey god and all their armies. Anyway, my name helped her find me, because when she came to meet us all, I was the one who snuggled with her and pricked up my ears when she said "are you Sita?" So, that's where my name comes from and how it helped bring us together!
hi guys! my name is Rambo. My mom and dad apparently grew up watching Johnny Rambo the action hero. He's kinda studly and hey whattya know, so am I! haha. I'm a little guy but I've got muscles. Well at least I think I do. I'm friendly and lovable but when times arise that I need to come to my mom's rescue and protect her, I am definitely living up to my name. Hope to make some great friends on here. "Arf!"
Doesn't look like anyone has posted here in awhile, but I'll post anyway.
Ceiba is a town in Honduras ; actually, it's called La Ceiba, but whateva! My mommy's family is from Honduras and that's what fit.
Other options for my name were ChaCha (short for 'muchacha' which means 'girl' in Spanish) or Samba (Adidas soccer shoes).
Anyway, that's how I got my name! Please keep posting the meanings of your names, too - they are all great to read!
Cya!
Bounder Give me my motor- home and the- open road!

Mom's name is Bene (Benedicta) and dad's name is Jim (James) and they thought of BJ or Benji, but the day they picked me up they were going out with their motor home group which is a club of Bounder motor homes.
Knowing that the meaning of Bounder is a dog (not necessarily in a good way, but it is a dog) and the motor home group did not have an official mascot, I got the name Bounder. Our motor home is a diesel, so my full name is Bounder Diesel .
I rule our Bounder motor home and keep it safe all the time, so I truly live up to my name.
