To any of you out there who have adopted one of our "Gentle Giants" and for any of you who have visited our website or our petfinder site, SPIN is humbly requesting help.
Last week we took in a record 29 dogs in 4 days - old and young, some with medical issues that need attention, all going into foster care and in need of grooming, feeding, heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. At present we have 70+ dogs under our umbrella, a good many ready for their forever homes and a good many that need a little more TLC before they can make the transition to forever homes.
For those of you that know us, SPIN's record and reputation are both exceptional. For those of you who don't know us that well, here are just a few facts. In our first year, we found homes for 70 of these magnificent creatures, last year it was 110 and since January of this y ear 68. SPIN takes in any and all of these beautiful, big white dogs - unwanted seniors, abandoned babies, homeless adults, some sick, some maimed or injured, some needing life-saving surgery, all needing a second chance at life.
With this latest group all coming at one time, we Spinners find ourselves stretched very thin and in need of help. Anything that you could donate would be greatly appreciated. Of course we are in dire need of foster homes if you could find it in your heart to open your home to one of these angels needing a temporary haven. But anything at all that you could offer will help.
