Shandie is 11yrs old, a mini red,she's nearly perfect in every way.... except she likes barking! when anyone comes to the door,if we change the door bell tune and check it, hey...you shouldn't be in my or any of our neighbours front yards(thank goodness she sleeps in the window a lot!!), she barks to go outside, I'm hungrey, I want attenition, woof woof..Don't look at me like that :o[ ,when our cockatoo barks!!!if any of our 3 grand-dachshunds,Willow,Aurora and Bella come too stay, how Dare they exclude her, or when they all play ,thats how she gets their attention so we are constantly walking around with a water gun...a bit like the old west LOL.
Aurora's the chewer,a mini 3.5kg , long haired,red,1yr old who disembowelled my "in perfect condition" lounge suite in 2 hours when we left her with Shandie the first time.So we took her the next time , she did the same to my front car seat.
Bella the jumper,9mths,standard,very loooong red,who as soon as you sit , jumps on your knee whether you are on the lounge, a dining chair or in the loo !!!! you sit , you have to cuddle and Kiss me....so there!.
Willow,3yrs,long haired,standard who watches you get ready to go,your in a hurry,so she turns her back and slowly walks under the dining table or who lays there watching you call her but doesn't let on she sees or hears you,I'll come when I'm ready . She's also a food snatcher,laying in wait....when you turn your back....it's gone and she looks so very innocent or sometimes the foods gone but so is she!!!!
Arrh DACHSHUNDS who would ever want to live without them.....

Gosh, where to start ...
Schnaggles is addicted to food and we have to keep everything away from him. We usually compost our food scraps so our bin doesn't have food in it, but sometimes he'll sniff out the empty butter wrapper and steal it from the bin and go to his hiding spot and lick it dry.
One day my partner was eating eggs on toast and the phone rang. When he got back Schnaggles had stolen the toast from under the eggs - I don't know why he didn't go for the eggs first.
He also eats shoes and now our walk-in robe has some dog-proof mesh so he can't chew on the shoes.
Buffy is our firestarter and starts barking at visitors, people walking up the street, chases the cats if they're galloping around the house, but then steps out so it looks like Schnaggles started it.
I think that's why they were made to be so cute, because otherwise they'd be super-long demon hounds ;-). |  |  | |  |
