	WHOOPS! I posted this as a message to the group. But I'll also post it here ... Hello everyone. I just found your group today. I just found my forever home on 5/13/06 and mom thought it would be good for me to join some groups. I'm a mutt. I look like I have some bulldog, pitbull, and possibly some german shepard in me, but we're not sure. Anyway, there isn't any BSL in my area, but there are some around where we live so mom has to be careful where we go on trips. How about the rest of you out there?

	Hi. I'm Cloudy. I'm a purebred Bull Terrier. And today I became the victim of breed specific legislation. My parents are in the process of buying a new house in Spring Hill, KS. Today when Mom checked into what she would need to license me (it's almost time for my yearly shots and the vet always asks what we will need for licensing) she found out that they have this law in place "*PIT BULL BREEDS, MIXED BULL BREEDS OR ANY DOG WHICH HAS THE APPEARANCE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF BEING PREDOMINANTLY OF THE BREEDS OF THE BULL FAMILY ARE PROHIBITED*" Pop called the city for clarification, and sure enough, they consider Bull Terriers part of that "bull family". So, Mom & Pop have to make a hard decision. Mom says it's an expensive decision, but very easy to make in her opinion - they are going to back out of the house, which will mean they will lose their earnest money deposit. She's kicking herself that she didn't think to look into this before they wrote the contract, but seeing as how they've never had any problems in any of the other cities we've lived, she didn't even think about it. She knows better now. Mom & Pop are going to look at another house tomorrow in Raymore, MO and Pop called today to find out about their animal laws. The lady there was really nice and said BSL was stupid, that it's only bad owners, not bad breeds of dog and that they would be happy to have us ALL (which mean Me!) living in their city.

	Hi! My name is Lola Mae. Everybody thinks that I am a pit bull, boxer mix. My mommy got me when I was about 7 months old. When I came home I was really skinny and scared of everything, now I am much better. My daddy is in Iraq and I haven't met him yet. Mom is kind of nervous because I am pretty attached, but I love everyone so I think she is paranoid. Soon we are moving to Fort Campbell and mommy is really scared that we might not find a place to live because I am part pit bull. I�m not scared though, I know my mommy would never leave me. 	Hi I'm Jack SDit. I'm an American Bull Dog/ American Pit Bull mix my mom rescued from the pound. I now am working on becoming a service dog for her even though I am just a baby. I am lucky that BSL do not apply to service dogs, but it is bad owner/handlers that cause this kind of stuff and I think BSLs are dumber than the neighbor's cat. BOL

	Hello all! My name is Drake, and I'm a Bullmastiff. Luckily in my area, there is no BSL, yet. That doesn't stop people from reacting negatively to me, though There have been so many times that people have seen me, and went the other direction because they think I could be a "pit" who cares? I love pits!! and all other breeds, i don't discriminate, i drool on everyone equally I love ppl so much, I wish they would give the chance to show them how sweet I really am. So, while there are no laws in place, there is still breed prejudice in my town. I want to help fight for the ones who are not as lucky as I am, and hopefully they will fight for me if I ever need them!! Lots of love to everyone!!
