	Hello, My Name is Rusty I turned a year in the beginning of September. I live with my Mom, Dad, and a Cat (not sure if i like having her around, she won't play with me, so why keep her around?) We recently moved on our own and my mommy says that i am not used to being the only dog, She is talking about getting me a brother or sister. I go to visit my friends i used to live with a few days a week, so it isn't so bad right now. I am Mommy's first pure German Shepard so she will probably have lots of questions. I hope you guys will help me teach her! Could you start by telling her how you guys keep clean. I get quite muddy! and i don't want to be bathed all the time. How often do you get bathed and what do you do inbetween baths? I look forward to meeting all of you! Thanks!

	hi Rusty, My mom puts Premium Dry Shampoo on me. Just shake it on and brush out. It smells good to. tell her to look on the cat isle at pet smart or Wal-mart hope it works for you Sonja

	Hi Im new here too. I dont get bathed a lot coz us Shepherds can get heat spots, little fungal thing from not getting all shampoo out of our coats then we chew and annoy it till we then have a big weapy sore and the hair falls out... ewwww I have had only one. I have a bath once or twice a year and you can see from my coat (if you check out my pics) that Im not dirty. Mum brushes me at least twice a week and sprays me with a spray bottly with a mix of water with a few drops of teatree oil I also get a few drops of lavender to make me smell girly. Mum also takes me swimming as often as we can in the river so then I smell like river...nice. Want to know mums secret???? come closer....shhhhh dont tell anyone else mum feeds me a tin of sardines every couple of days to keep my coat shiny and glowing.... I love little fishes and she buys the ones in olive oil mmmm. If you havnt guessed Im a show pup so I have to look good all the time. Oh and I love mud too Good luck Luv CC XXXX

	Thank you so much for your reply! Mom knows I am not supposed to have to many baths. You are very pretty! When you are all muddy does your mom put you somewhere your you to dry or do you have your own towels? Mommy Says that I am going to get my own towels. when she buys new one soon I will get the old ones. I get regular brushes and ones a month I get furminated. I am going to ask my mom for some sardines. I wonder if i will like them... i have never had them. When you get your bathes what does your mommy use? Thank you for your reply!

	Thank you for you reply! I will look into it! what do you guys use for flea repelant? my mommy tried advantage but it did not seem to work that long, she thinks that she didn't get it on my skin very well cause I was wiggley when she did it. but who wouldn't wiggle? (it tickled!) THanks for your imput!

	Hi I'm new here and look forward to meeting you all. I had my first bath with this family,the other day.Because I was being stuborn to get in the tub,I was limping around for awhile after wards but I was a good boy and enjoyed my bath.(I hope LOL) Mom says shepherds are not to get baths too often,3 times a year. Mom uses FrontLine Plus for my fleas. It works good because I saw those little buggers dying on moms bed within day of using it.

	Hi there, welcome. Well I get two baths max a year. Shampoos are very harsh, best one yet is Solid Gold shampoos. Other than that if I get muddy the hose is all I get And I love that alot!

	Thank you for your welcomes. My Mommy has been trying to not bath me very often and she just changed my flea medicine to one that helps with ticks also. I am pretty good when I get a bath, and she is using a damp towel to knock off most of the dirt.
