	Hello, I hope everything works out with you Tika and Gunner. I was recently diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia where my blood cells were attacking each other and for a moment things got pretty bad. Im on predisone and things are looking up as of lastfriday my levels were up to 33% from 8%. Almost back to a normal level of 40%. I did not know there were so many side effects of Predisone, but i do drink lots of water and seem to be always looking for food more than normal. I think now my mommy will understand an she might try the baby carrots. The vets think I might have to be on Predisone for the rest of my life..If you guys have any other advice that would be great.. piggy

	Oh Piggy, I hope you get well and don't have to be on Prednisone forever. The dogtor may need to put you on another drug as well? We have been told to give Tika good quality protein so I have been boiling chicken breasts (about 30 minutes on a low simmer after initial boil) and giving her those with some baby foods that have organic veggies. She loves low fat cheeses and we made our own liver cubes, by boiling it and then cutting it up and putting it on a cookie sheet in a low oven for a few hours. The vet has approved this and because she needs to raise her platelets he wants good protein but not too much fat. She also gets brown rice with her chicken and what ever steamed veggies we have on hand. I don't know as much about your disease but I do know tha I wish you a speedy recovery and I will keep praying for you.
