 | |  | | Josie, by "she" I assume you mean Hillary Clinton. I don't think she is going to win, and I'm proud to say I voted for Barrack Obama in the Indiana primary. He was against going into Iraq from the beginning. I totally agree that we should keep our borders safe and fight to stop terrorism, but I think we would be better served by finding Bin Laden and his gang and putting a stop to them. They are the ones that carried out 9/11, not the people or even the government of Iraq.
I think Obama will do his best to put a stop to all the lobbies and such in Washington having so much influence, and maybe then there can be some real progress on the state of our economy, starting with the gas prices! We are also in drastic need of universal insurance coverage. If our tax dollars can pay for the US Congress and Senate to have some of the best medical insurance coverage known to mankind, then they can sure devise a way we all can get the medical care we need at reasonable prices.
We have to remember that no matter who the president is, if there isn't a congress that will work with him to better our country and our people's circumstances, instead of themselves and their own high dollar supporters, then nothing will get done and this country will continue on the self destructive path that George Bush and Dick Cheney have done much to put it on!
I think John McCain will be more of the same old policies that are dragging this country down and pretty well causing the whole world to hate the US. I believe Barrack Obama will be a breath of fresh air. I believe he truly wants to bring our country and it's people back up to a standard we can be proud of again.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm proud to be an American and I totally support our brave military. My father fought in WWII, my husband fought in Viet Nam, I have a nephew that has served in Bosnia, Afghanistan AND Iraq, and he agrees with everything that I've said.
I would also like to say, if we are going to send our sons and daughters to fight, then let's take excellent care of them when they come home wounded. Be it physically or mentally. I think the way returning wounded veterans are being treated by our government is an outrage. More George Bush nonsence. Let's start a war that we have no exit strategy for and drags on for years, and not budget enough money to take care of the veterans. That's just irresponsible!
I know this was all pretty heavy for Dogster, sorry if I've offended anyone. I say vote for Barrack Obama and vote Democrats for the Congress and Senate that will work with him to improve the circumstances of our people and our great country!
