waveSURVEY (Just copy and paste in reply):

1) How old are you? When is your birthday?
Oscar Meyer Wiener 8 years old Sept 27th
My woman is Vienna Sausage 8 years old Jan 23rd

2) Where do you live?
University Place Washington (By Tacoma)

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food?
Since we were about 2 years old

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food?
My family lost their wonderful Katy-9 to cancer when she was too young and Well, Mom is a librarian, she read a book called "Give a Dog a Bone" and life has been wonderful ever since.

5) What is your usual meal?
We each get a chicken neck most every night, except sometimes mom likes to give us sardines or tuna (not much tuna- she is a little paranoid about it.
For breakfast we get lots of different things mixed with Pepperdogz. She used to grind and mix but then these companies started coming out with all kinds of good mixes and this brand just happens to be FDA approved. We get buffalo and turkey from them. There used to be a local lady that made food mixes with venison and duck. But she went out of business
Mom mixes raw eggs or organic beans and whole grain rice or oatmeal or cooked sweet potatoes or fruits with the breakfast stuff.
I - Oscar - had a bladder stone once so for the last couple of years we have had water mixed in our breakfast meal because I won't just drink it. I have had not had a stone since she started doing that. The vet said that that special food was the only way to get me to drjink water but I couldn't keep down that dog food made to help that and lost too much weight too fast on it. Flavored water is another way, why don't they think of that?

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food?
Oscar- I' m allergic to too many carrots, I will eat them and walk right in to the hall and barf them up. So mom is very careful not to get mixes that have carrots as a top ingredient. We don't hate to eat anything but I don't see why Vienna likes chips and popcorn and people snacks, yuck and bad for you tooo!

7) Do you add supplements? Which ones?
On our breakfast meal mom puts Sea-Meal, Brewers Yeast and Flax seed oil. She also tries to give us Sea-Meal later in the day in some water to get me to drink more water. She is tricky.

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not.
I love all treats, Mom does not really "cook" so she does buy treats with glucosamine and liver. We really only get treats when we are learning something and right after a walk. Mom has decided that dogs who get paid for coming home won't run off. We're good with that.

9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food.
Mom knows about a 10. We have doing this for a long time and have tried many different things. She always wants to learn more but she is sure willing to help. Mostly, she just wants people to know that dogs need quality and variety in their diet just like people .
