 |  |  |  | Poor Macey! Our older cat has a flea allergy and the vet said one bite can trigger inflamation and itching in bites even over a month old, so I guess that's what's happening! We've had good luck with Advantage, I don't know if you prefer not to use pesticide at all, but from the research I did I found Advantage had the fewest side effects reported (especially for cats, who are more sensitive).
Wiggy doesn't seem outright allergic to grass, but she has gotten a pink rash on her belly from direct contact with cut grass after I weedwacked the big hill behind our house. I found spreading some natural aloe vera gel on her belly really helped, her rash was gone by the evening. Plus it's non-toxic so you don't have to worry like with the medicated itch sprays.
