	The Rome SPCA's Paws for a Cause Walkathon at the Erie Canal Village in Rome , is Saturday, September 23rd . 9:00-3:00PM . Rain or Shine.

	Wanders Rest Humane Association is having their PAWS ALONG THE ERIE DOG WALK & FESTIVAL on September 24, 2006 at Cedar Bay Park, Dewitt. Times: 12:00pm - 3:00pm Vendors, Food, Games and Prizes Participants in Paws Along the Erie - Dog Walk and Festival solicit money for walking, with or without animals (on leashes, please!), a 3-mile course along the Erie canal. Funds raised help to support their many shelter programs. Prizes are awarded to the individuals who bring in the most money in pledges, and of course there are awards for the animals themselves.
