	I'm Angel's little brother My name is Scruff. I'm a Yorki/chihuahua mix like Angel. Thanks to everyone who have asked us to be pals. Has anyone else caught grief on the forums because you have mixes or because you don't see a problem breeding mixes? Just curious.

	Check out the forums in "Finding the Right Dog" about "Mutts"" and "New Breeds". There have been plenty of disagreements about breeding and purchasing mixed breed dogs (when they are available in shelters). A lot of people believe that only the best examples of purebred dogs should be bred. They have other criteria as well and many make very valid points which are difficult to dispute. Some really try and educate you on their point of view On the otherhand, you have some that just harang you for purchasing a mixed breed, use the term backyard breeder, puppymiller, etc. It can be infuriating!! I'm all for the exchange of viewpoints and background research. Most peole don't come to these forums to be put down and harrassed by people who disagree with them. It happens more on other sites than on Dogster. I think Dogster does a better job of moderating their forums that some of the others. I was interested in what other "mutt" owners had experienced here.

	Some people argue breeding the best of two different purebred breeds together may not bring out the best in the puppy - but I say that could be the case when breeding two purebreds of the same breed as well! I'm a yorkiepoo! I'm very affectionate, a quick learner, pretty much everything my mommy wanted in a dog. (except I can be stubborn sometimes - that's the terrier in me!) Just because I'm a mix doesn't make me any less of a dog

	Hey Teaspoon, I'm Ruby. A shorkie tzu (yorkie & shih tzu mix). I thought I was all alone on Dogster but, oh boy was I wrong. I've met tons of awesome mixes and I even joined a shorkie tzu group. Hope you make lots of new pup pals! P.S. I love your name ,Teaspoon, soooo cute!

	I don't think there's anything wrong with breeding mixes. How do they think they got their purebreds? At one point, hundreds of years ago, dogs were bred to get the "purebreds" we have today. I read in a shih tzu magazine that ancient chinese leaders mixed different breeds until they found the "perfect breed" this means at one time shih tzu's were mixes to. As well as adorable little yorkies. Maybe some day shorkie tzu's will be "purebreds" too.
