Would this be considered a "real" service dog?

The Service and Therapy Dog forum is for all service and therapy dogs regardless of whether or not their status is legally defined by federal or state law, how they are trained, or whether or not they are "certified." Posts questioning or disputing a person's need for a service or therapy dog, the validity of a person's service or therapy dog, or the dog's ability to do the work of a service or therapy dog are not permitted in this forum. Please keep discussions fun, friendly, and helpful at all times.

Well, my pet dogs stay at (pet friendly) hotels with me, I don't think that necessarily a dog has to stay out of hotels...a cruise is a different thing.

If it's pet friendly hotel/motel, great, but don't be bringing a "SD" that has been trained for home and nowhere else out to public places if it doesn't have the proper training. To me that's one of those things like using a loophole in the ADA to get your dog to go wherever you want to take it even though it's not trained for public.
