|Okay, I have been through the whole fat labby experience and Savvy's weight is finally close to where it should be. Her sib, Samoa is also large, but has never tipped over into fat.
We also have a pair of little girls...Dubs, the Corgi Something has a very blocky, muscular frame. She has been raised on raw. And Cookie, the Rescue Cocker was slightly underweight when I got her, but is showing some nice muscle now.
So...my question is: Do dogs fed raw develop muscle more readily than kibble fed dogs? Because all of my pups seem to be, well...chunky. But not fat - very solid, and with some "waist" but not slender. Could it be breed type? Lab X's and Corgis, maybe...but not Cocker Spaniels...
Here is Samoa after a recent trim, so you can see his build. Samoa...with short hair.
The Groomer says he is very solid, not fat. What do you think? Am I kidding myself again? Is he fat?
