I have the spread sheet and it shows up all fine and dandy... I just can't DO anything because I only had a trial of Microsoft Office. I would like to make the spreadsheets for my three dogs but it won't let me change or add anything to the darn thing... and I don't have $250 to spend on Microsoft Office.

Any suggestions?

Anyone care to do it for me for a general guide line for my pup? I don't have the newer Excel so I can't change anything on it.

Weight: 15 pounds
Exercise: Not sure what the category options are, but when we first bring him home he'll be going for 2 30 minute walks per day and it will increase as he grows up.

A question for those who created the spreadsheet:
In the Nutrient Requirements Portion, there are two yellow columns under Your Dog's Daily Requirement: Nutrient/Caloric Intake and Nutrient/Weight (kg). Does this show the total amounts of each nutrient (in g or ug or mg) for my dog's weight or does it show the Nutrient PER Weight? shrug

Mister-Jagger, I'm not sure I understand your question. The nutrients by amount are listed in column F and let you know whether it is measured in g, mg, or mcg.

The first column "Intake" calculates nutrient requirements based on the caloric intake required based on the dogs weight and activity level.

The second column is the standard NRC nutrient calculation that is based on the standard caloric intake of 1,000 calories. It divides the nutrient, e.g., 1.0 gram of calcium, by the weight of the dog.

I use the first column. I can't remember much about the second column as it has been so long since I have done this. I will go back and check my NRC book and post more information about it.
