Bailey has absolutely no interest in toys, unless they involve food like a kong or a Nina Ottosson puzzle game. He'd much rather play chase or do agility. My other pom Saige is a total fetchaholic.

Once you have him understanding how to walk on a leash better, I'm sure walks will be more enjoyable for you. Dogs actually do get a lot of mental stimulation out of sniffing, so don't try to completely put a stop to it. I mix sniffing breaks into our walk so they get the benefit of both activities.

Congrats!!
I have no idea what drew me to poms, but I don't think I'll ever change my prefrence for them in the future!!
They are amazing, and so full of personality it's hard to have just one! They are just a pleasure to have around, and I couldn't think of a better companion =] Although I might be a lil biased, lol
