 | | | | There is no way to guarantee that any specific puppy will be a dry-mouth but there are breeders that specialize in breeding Drymouth puppies. I HAVE A DRYMOUTHED NEWFOUNDLAND THAT DOES NOT DROOL A DROP. Not when he is hungry not when its hot.... NEVER. I went to a breeder that specialized in drymouth newfoundlands, They told me that they have not had a puppy that drools in over 7 years. So in my opnion there is deffinatly such a thing as drymouthed Newfoundlands. as far as the cost your right about them costing an arm and leg, im into mine for about 3k. with that said I love newfoundlands, we have small children and Tug is so gentle its amazing. They are easy to train, especially potty train my dog only had 3 accidents in the house ever and that includes 2 on the first day we brought him home. I have had a couple drymouthed newfoundlands, do your research. When you go to the breeders house look their dogs over and see if they are drooling... if they are that is a good sign that the puppy will also drool. chocolate ones are rare (which is what I have) but greys are the rareist. an easy way to find drymouth breeders is to go to google and simply type in "Drymouth Newfoundlands" and breeders sites will pop up. I hope this helps. | | | | |
