 | | | | My dad's dog Taz is having troubles. He's 11 y/a minature schnauzer, and they thought he had a stroke in November, but he recovered way too quickly for it to be a stroke. Well, he had another the week before Christmas. The vet says his liver enzymes are off the chart, and he just had a big all-day observation test where all the samples they took went to the University of Michigan to figure out what was wrong with him.
The thing is, Taz is having the same problems that our previous schnauzer Kenzo started having. taz was the dog we got to help support her when she was convalescing, and he was with the family through my mom's illness and death, a remarriage, a move, all the kids growing up, dad's triple by-pass and subsequent problems, etc. My dad is not ready to give him up yet, and he's still acting all normal for the most part, though these episodes have slowed him down and damaged his co-ordination a bit.
They're saying adrenal tumor or thyroid tumor, and we hope it's not that, we just have to wait for the test to come back. It's sort of a scary time for us. he's a really good dog, and 11 seems way too young.
Please pray for him | | | | |
