 |  |  |  | Zuki, I hope you are feeling better soon. Jackson had disk surgery when he was 4 years old. While he was prohibited from using stairs (we had to carry him every time he went outside), we also were instructed to use a rolled up beach towel to support him when he walked.
While he was healing and for some time thereafter, we used rug backers (sheets that keep your area rugs in place) on our linoleum, tile and hardwood floors in areas where Jackson needed to navigate. These are fairly cheap, can be cut to the size needed, can be cleaned by shaking, slip safe and worked wonderfully. This might be a cost effective alternative to an area rug. |  |  |  |  |
