Here's a medium antler on ebay for $7.25 and free shipping. That one you can buy right now at that price.

Or, you can bid on pieces like this one.

If you do go the ebay route, ALWAYS look at the seller feedback before you buy! The 2 I listed both have 100% positive and have sold numerous items. And don't rely on the pictures either. Most will have stock photos that aren't of the piece you will be given. Most do that because they sell so many antlers it's hard to take photos of them all. So, always read the description as to what exactly they're selling.

Antlers are safe chews if you get the right size and configuration for your dog and their chewing style. Much safer than wreck bones. They don't splinter or shard, the dog has to grind them down. They do provide some nutritional benefits in the form of minerals. I know quite a few breeders that give these to large to giant breed dogs and recommend them, no one's broken a tooth yet.

Lucille loves them, she chews them for at least an hour plus each day and they still last for months. I get the largest elk antlers I can find, those are her faves. She doesn't lose interest, but if your dog does you can saw off an end and smooth it off so that the dog can reach the inside marrow. Or just buy pre-split antlers, they're better for older dogs...they're a bit pricier sometimes, though.

Our Petco carries them but like I said..They are expensive there and quite small. They do last around 5 months and I usually have Bully sticks but still do chew my antler sometimes.

I know this is a little bit older thread, but I wanted to throw in my two cents worth. My golden retriever and our pit bull loved deer antlers and would often hunt up their own sheds on walks. But, BOTH of them did teeth damage chewing on them. So keep and eye on them especially the canine teeth as these were the ones that got injured on our dogs.

I did see that Petsmart has started to carry them also. I am sorry but I did not look to see the price. I was kind of in a hurry and have not been back to check them out. All the things i read about them on here, I thought I may look at them sometime.
