Hi! I'm Roy Herron from Scurvy Dog Rescue in San Antonio, TX, a small group associated with AAPAW (Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare). We rescue and rehab dogs from the streets of our city (the ones that Animal Control doesn't bother with since actually takes some effort to corral these dogs). We've been contacted by an old friend producing a reality show in Los Angeles. He stated that if we can get transportation for our adoption ready dogs that he has great homes ready for any pooch we can get to L.A.! What's the best/least expensive transportation (since I'm a nurse and we can't afford to put dogs on a plane...)? Can anyone please help?

Hi Roy! There's an article in the LA times last week about the rescue scene in LA: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-rambo-20120713, 0,1193566.story

They kill 29,000 animals a year in the LA area- it's just as bad as San Antonio. Please don't transport more into that area; it would be like Dallas sending its dogs to San Antonio. LA can't even save the dogs who are already there.
