We took Sabre to the OBX last summer and there were definitely some beaches that had restrictions (dogs only at certain times of the year). We stayed in a Quality Inn right on the beach at Nags Head which allows dogs. Have fun!!

The Holistic Pet Food Store in OBX also has doggy daycare for vacationers. The dogs are not allowed to play together, but they have kennels in the back of the store and take them out to potty and stretch their legs frequently.
