 | | | | Moose had a vet appointment this morning and I asked the vet about when they thought they'd get Comfortis in.
The vet (not Moose's normal vet. This vet is new to the office and for whatever reason, I wasn't able to see our normal vet) suggested I use Trifexis and I told him that I had just given Moose his monthly dose of Heartguard a few days ago.
He thought that taking a dosage of Trifexis wouldn't be a problem even though Moose just got his heartworm dosage. He said that the heartworm preventative in Trifexis is minimal comparative to Heartguard and there shouldn't be a problem with taking Trifexis.
Of course, I don't like the idea of too much of anything in my animals systems, but if it will help with this incredible flea infestation, then I'm all for it if it's safe.
(I was going to put a topical on Moose today, but this weekend he's going to be in the water for both Saturday and Sunday).
Do you think it's ok to take Trifexis even though he's had a Heartguard dosage a few days ago? | | | | |
