GO!

What breeds come in tricolors? (brown, white, black)?

If you are wondering what is the right dog for you, this is the place to be. In this introductory forum we talk about topics such as breed vs. mix, size, age, grooming, breeders, shelters, rescues as well as requirements for exercise, space and care. No question is too silly here. This particular forum is for getting and giving helpful, nice advice. It is definitely not a forum for criticizing someone else's opinion, knowledge or advice. This forum is all about tail wagging and learning.

Hi.

I was thinking to myself today. What breeds come in tricolor? The only one i know of are beagles, bassets and foxhounds. Are there any other breeds that come in tricolor? Or is it only specific to a few hounds?

If anyone knew why or how the coat makes the three color patterns I'd be interested in knowing that too. BUt i'm mostly interested in what other breeds have this interesting and in my opinion cute color pattern.

Thanks,

Jake's Mom.

English Springer Spaniels too if they haven't been mentioned already. I've seen tri colored Pit Bulls but I don't know if there is something else going on there to get that color or not.
