Is my Shephard mix from the pound really a Carolina Dog?

	I have a dog that we adopted from the shelter a few years ago now. She was a puppy at the time and they found her wandering around and malnourished in the woods of Indiana. She is a lovely smart dog, but she digs like crazy and I simply cannot control her if she smells an animal scent. The kids and I love the dog (smart, compassionate, active, etc.) but my husband loves his yard and the two are not currently co-existing well. If I can figure out how to post her picture I was wondering if you folks think she is a Carolina Dog and if so - any thoughts on digging?
