I am looking into a different dog as a SD prospect. She is a Sheltie/BC mix from a local rescue.

They state on her page that she has done foundation competitive obedience training, and I'm not sure what exactly that is.

Can anyone define it for me?

She has also done "box work" and "nose-touch dumbbell work", both of which I'm fuzzy on as well.
