Arrival Story:
I was planning on moving to Maine in Dec of 2003, my boyfriend came to my apartment one day & had this sweet little dog in his hand. I asked where he got him & he said he was at his apt door when he went outside. I told him I was not able to keep him because I was moving & I already had a dog (Buckwheat) & my boyfriend had 2 dogs but he was staying in FL. Well we tried to find his home but no luck, then we tried to adopt him out & no luck. So I decided to take him to Maine with me. Well 3 months after going to Maine my boyfriend moved up there with me, but one of his dogs died due to a botched spay. So now we have 3 dogs, then we went to the Humane Society & adopted another. Thats 4. Moved back to FL, adopted 2 more, that's 6 dogs. Then my boyfriends grandmother broke her hip we took her dog, That's 7 dogs.

This is one of the kindest things you may ever see..

It is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in thedead
letter office of the US postal service.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey..
She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven,
God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:

Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven.
I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her.. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed
it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the
letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the
post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her
that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith
opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies..' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to
God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.
Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.
Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart.
Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have
any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book
for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by…Thank you for the
beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me.
What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
By the way, I'm easy to find, I am wherever there is love.

Love,
God

I went to the Rainbow Bridge today :(

June 12th 2009, I took the journey to the bridge today. It was so unexpected. My mommy took me to the ER vet last night because she saw that I wasn't feeling to good. We only live 5 minutes away from the vet. They took me back right away & the Dr. found that I wasn't able to go wee-wee. She put a cathater in & the only thing that came out was blood. She said I had kidney stones that blocked me from going wee. After a very long night at the ER vet. Mommy came & picked me up to take me to my regular vet. I still was not feeling good, I was on pain meds & still had the cathader in. Daddy took me to Dr. Garrs were he did x-rays & saw that I had alot of kidney stones & an enlarged heart. I just wanted the pain to stop. The Dr. said they could do surgery but the possibility of the stones coming back were really high. Mommy & daddy talked to me & I told them I was ready to go the bridge. I didn't want to suffer another night like last night.
Mommy & Daddy's hearts are breaking & mommy can't stop crying. My brothers & sisters know I'm not here in body with them any more but I will always be in their hearts.

My sweet Mookie- We will miss you, you touched our lives in so many ways & we will always love you.

Lost & Found

Well the day started out as usual, we all get up with mommy at 6 Am go out for our morning business while mommy gets ready for work. Come back in get cookies for doing our business. Ok so blah blah blah. Then daddy gets up at 8am lets us out again, same ole same ole routine. Daddy leaves for work at 9am. Well here's what happened next. He left me outside!!!!!! He forgot to do a head count before leaving for work. Bad daddy! ( There are 7 of us) Well I'm only 8 pounds & the smallest one of the bunch. My brothers & sisters are alot bigger than me & they could handle being out doors all day. Thank goodness there is always water on the covered porch because it was 92 degrees out.
I stood at the back door barking & barking but no one could let me in. Frustated I went to the fence & started digging. I managed to dig my way out & roam the neighborhood. Ok so mommy gets home at about 5:20 pm looks around & NO MOOKIE ! She got very upset jumped into the car & started looking for me & telling people that I was missing & to please help her find me. If I know my mommy well I know she was crying because I was lost. Stopping to ask everyone she saw if they had seen me, NO LUCK :(. Then she saw a girl in a yard & asked if she had seen me. And wouldn't you know I was inside. They took really good care of me, gave me water & a cool place to lay down. I was so tired, but when they brought me outside & I saw my mommy I was so excited. SHE FOUND ME!. She was crying from happiness. When we got home boy did she lay into daddy. He promised to do a head count now everytime he leaves. Well the rest of the night all mommy did was smother me with love( after I got a bath). I was SO HAPPY to be home.
