Groomer day!

Well, I survived...but just barely. :) Not to say that Kristy isn't a nice lady, but ugh. Baths are just unnatural. If I want to get wet, I'll go run in the lake. Although, I do look pretty sweet in the candy corn bandana she gave me. And I did make a new friend there - a cute little cocker spaniel named Tiffany.

Diary of the Day

Well, golly gee woof! I can't believe I was selected as a Diary of the Day. What an honor!
Today, my cousin Ramses' human is coming home. So he'll be leaving us this afternoon :( I've really enjoyed having him here. It will be nice to have my people all to myself for awhile though. But not for too long because Graham is coming soon. Seems like it's taking forever for him to get here.
Mama's going to take me to the groomer this week. Grrr, I hate baths and I really hate having my nails clipped. I do enjoy all the extra hugs though, peolple can't stop hugging me when I'm all clean and soft.

Poor scared pup

Well, we found out last night that my fur cousin Ramses is terrified of thunder storms. I felt so bad for him. A couple of lightning strikes hit so close to home that they set off the car alarms on our block. It was sad to such a big, happy guy trembling like that. I decided it would be okay if he slept with my human boy, Nick. That seemed to help. My mama says there are going to be more storms today :( I'm going to let him have my best chew bone. The Border Collie comes to visit

My fur-cousin, Ramses the Border Collie, has been staying with us for a few days and will be here until Sunday. While I really like him, I just don't understand him. All he wants to do is chase bouncy things and that weird thing that looks like a plate but doesn't have any food on it. I mean, really. If you can't eat it, what good is it?

He is a sweet goofball though. Yesterday, he came and curled up next to me during nap time. It was a cold, rainy day yesterday(I hate rain, wet fur=sad dog) so that was kind of nice. He is very fluffy and warm.

My mama keeps saying that I'm going to have a little brother soon. She says he's coming from a very long way away, so it will take awhile. I hope he gets here soon. It's nice having another dog around to play with.

New little brother on the way

My big brother Pippin crossed over the rainbow bridge three years ago. Since then, I've been an only dog. I really love meeting new dogs and playing with them, so I'm very glad that my people have finally decided that it's time for me to have a new little brother.
After looking for a very long time, my mom found a beautiful young Sheltie mix in a shelter in a place called Georgia. When she saw him she started crying and said he was "the one". He doesn't have a name yet, but he will be here as soon as they can find someone to bring him to us. I can't wait to start playing with him. It will be so fun to have someone to come with us on our walks. I hope he will be nice to me.
Until then, we are having my Border Collie cousin, Ramses, staying with us while his human is out of town. Not too sure how I feel about this. I keep trying to get him to play with me, but all he wants to do is chase frisbees. I don't like frisbees. I just don't get the point of chasing something I can't eat.
