Hi everyone! Started out this beautiful Saturday morning rolling around the human bed (where I sleep), yawning and licking my humans, having Felix roll over me trying to grab all the attention and Maddie joining us from the floor. Well, here we all are! So, I heard mom tell dad (in a whisper) that we should go to the DP. Well, we all know what that is.....the DOG PARK!! Yes!! Oh, even before breakfast. First, mom has to have her tea and dad has to have his coffee.....then OFF WE GO! We got there to run, run, run.....and run some more. I very often go off with some other family because I KNOW they all think I am the cutest dog there; even more than their own, right? RIGHT??? Of course, that's right. Anyway, since it rained on Sunday and Monday of last week, it was a TEEEENY bit muddy out there. Well, we ran and rolled and barked and had the time of our lives. You know, though I am beginning to get a bit suspicious of my humans when they bring us to the DP. Know why? Because right after that, (and this has happened more than once...) we went right past where we usually turn to go home. OH NO, we are going to the Barkery and Bath where my mom works, for.....yes, you guessed it a BATH. Can you believe that? Just because we all had muddy paws and got the whole car muddy inside that they took us to get a bath? Yes, water in the eyes, ears and every other orifice that we have. YUCK. Then, the worst part. It's that high-power dryer that could knock the socks off a linebacker. It's that part I hate the most. I dip and roll and bite at the air, hoping the thing will die..... But when we were all clean and sparkly, we got to go back home and eat breakfast. I was so tired on the way home, I could hardly keep my eyes open. Later on, since it was such a beautiful day, we went outside with mom and she let us all have a yummy bison bone to chew! What bliss. Well, I am now asleep in the papasan chair with my brother Felix while mom is on the computer. Talk at ya later. Rudy
