My face

During the night mom got up to let me out to go potty and she waited for me at the door so she really didn't know what I might be up to. She thought things were fine when I came back in , but sometime later I kept rubbing my face and just acting strange. Finally she got up to see what might be wrong and my poor face was all swollen! My eyes and everything. She went and woke up poppa and he didn't know what could be wrong so we were off to a trip to the emergancy room!

The said I sure was having some kind of reaction! They gave me some shots and made me wait to see if the swelling was going to go down. It started to look better so they us all go home. Glad to say I'm doing much better. The swelling is almost all gone. Mom still does not know what I got into . Maybe a spider! But I am doing good!

A Rescue Dog's Christmas Poem

Tis the night before Christmas and all through the town,
every shelter is full - we are lost, but not found,
Our numbers are hung on our kennels so bare,
we hope every minute that someone will care,
They'll come to adopt us and give us the call,
"Come here, Max and Sparkie - come fetch your new ball!!
But now we sit here and think of the days...
we were treated so fondly - we had cute, baby ways,
Once we were little, then we grew and we grew
now we're no longer young and we're no longer new.
So out the back door we were thrown like the trash,
they reacted so quickly - why were they so rash?
We "jump on the children:, "don't come when they call",
we "bark when they leave us", climb over the wall.
We should have been neutered, we should have been spayed,
now we suffer the consequence of the errors THEY made.
If only they'd trained us, if only we knew...
we'd have done what they asked us and worshiped them, too.
We were left in the backyard, or worse -let to roam-
now we're tired and lonely and out of a home.
They dropped us off here and they kissed us good-bye...
"Maybe someone else will give you a try."
So now here we are, all confused and alone...
in a shelter with others who long for a home.
The kind workers come through with a meal and a pat,
with so many to care for, they can't stay to chat,
They move to the next kennel, giving each of us cheer...
we know that they wonder how long we'll be here.
We lay down to sleep and sweet dreams fill our heads...
of a home filled with love and our own cozy beds.
Then we wake to see sad eyes, brimming with tears -
our friends filled with emptiness, worry, and fear.
If you can't adopt us and there's no room at the Inn -
could you help with the bills and fill our food bin?
We count on your kindness each day of the year -
can you give more than hope to everyone here?
Please make a donation to pay for the heat...
and help get us something special to eat.

Guess what I brought to bed

Well it was about 1:30 in the morning, and Charlie started barking so mom got up and let us out to go potty. Charlie came back in right away. But I was taking my time then I came back in and jumped back up on the bed and mom lifted up the covers and then something wet and sticky fell on her arm. She thought to herself oh no what is that and reached down and picked it up and it was cat POOP!!! Yuck!!!

I guess she was going to share! No thank you my Monkey girl!!!!

I was Dog Of The Day On July 24, 07!!!

Wow what a surprise !! I was in shock!! That is so very cool!! Thanks HQ!!! I printed out the home page and put in my scrap book. I will never forget this day!! Thank to all my pals that came by and gave me so many wonderful rosettes!! I have not goten so many pup pal requests since I joined this great place! Thank you all my new pals. Looking forword to geting to know you all so much better, we love paw mail so drop us a any time and I will do the same!! Thanks for my my Day so much better. Mom kept on giving me kisses and belly rubs all day! I even got a bone!!

Bicyle Ride

I went on my first bike ride in my new basket! It was really fun. The wind blowing in my face! All the little critters I got to see. We rode to the park . I got to run around and play then back on the bike for the ride home! Can't wait to go again, not sure when that will be this morning mom is mumbling about her back. BOL !

It's my woofday!

Oh boy today I turn three!! Mom can't believe it. Time sure goes by fast. I have grown into a wonderful pup! Mom and poppa always say what a good girl I am. I am so good off leash, I acually listen. They don't know how that happened!

Oh my poppa loves me so. You know what he said? A day without a Monkey is like a day with out sunshine!! How sweet is that!! Love ya pops!!

Monkeys

Do not like coffee beans.

Poppa was seting the coffee and momma was tickling him and he droped the coffee beans beans on the floor and lucky for them Monkeys do not like coffee beans!

Movie

I got to go to my first drive in! Wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. But it was fun we got to do some walking and sniffing and there were some yummy treats in the car. We saw "Night at the Museum" mom says it was very cute and to bad things like that didn't happen in real life!
