Birthday: February 2nd 2007 Likes: Burying himself in the snow banks. Pet-Peeves: Not being allowed to sit on our visitors laps. Favorite Toy: His tug rope. Favorite Food: Anything that is edible. Favorite Walk: Anywhere you want to take him. (Mostly the park.) Best Tricks: Sit and down by just a signal. Arrival Story: When we lost our beloved black lab, Skelly, at 13 years of age a great big hole developed in my heart. I was looking at dogs on line that needed homes and I came across this breeder of labrador retrievers. I convinced my husband to take the three hour drive to just go see the kennel because it looked so good on line and of course we picked a puppy. We chose a chocolate one this time because I instantly fell in love with the father of the litter. The pups were not ready to go home because they were only 4 weeks old and one of the rules of the kennel were that you could not buy a pup on the first visit. That was to make sure it was not an impulse decision. So we waited 4 more weeks before we could bring our baby home. Best decision ever. My first best decision was to bring our frist lab Skelly home. I still miss Skelly and Dexter did not replace him, I just made more room beside the hole.
