After a very long hiatus - I'm back!!

Hey everyone, it has been a few years but finally mom got her stuff together and has come back to dogster!!!

Lots has changed over the years (including my age....5 human years old!! WOOF WOOF!) We had lots happen in our lives including a new home. Mom and dad are going to pick up my new sibling this weekend - apparently she is "cute" but I will be the judge of that!! Her name is Morgan (hardy har har...very funny mom and dad - Captain & Morgan....name us both after a bottle of rum....grrrrr). She is a Presa Canario, whatever that means. Oh well, I will keep you posted on my sibling, guess I'm going to have to show her the ropes.

ME AND MOM ARE GETTING IN SHAPE

Hey everyone, I hope everyone has been happy and healthy!

It has been a while since my last entry so I convinced mom to type a little blurb for me.

I went to the vet last week for my annual check up and vaccinations. I shake like a leaf whenever I walk thru the front door (ever since I lost the "boys" I have not felt the same about vets...and can you blame me???), anyhow, I am really healthy except I have put on 5lbs since last summer. I now weigh almost 75lbs and the vet says I have to lose my 5lbs so I am back to my lean mean 69lbs. Then the vet gave my dad a little bit of heck for over feeding me...I don't know what the big deal is, I don't mind dad giving me extra food...yum!

Mom needs to shed about 10lbs and I need to lose 5lbs and now that the snow is FINALLY melting, we have started running around Telford Lake!! I think I enjoy it more then mom!!! Looks like around June/July we both should be back to our old athletic selves!!!!

Well, time to go..me and mom just finished our run and now it's dinner..yum yum!!!

WELL THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL.......!!!!

"but the fire is soooo delightful....and since we have no place to go....let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!"

Arrroooooooooooo.....hey everyone! this is GR Captain "like someone in love" broadcasting live from snowy, chilly, popsickle ville...Leduc, Alberta, Canada!!!! Today is -28 C with a high of -23 and that is before the wind!!! When they said March came in like a lion, well, they were not kidding!!! It is so cold here that everytime I go outside I only last about 5 minutes or so and then I want back in my nice warm home!!! Mom says I am a "fraidy cat" (if you pardon the pun) because there are some pretty scary snow drifts in the backyard and I will tell you, I have never met a friendly drift...they sort of reach out to you...if you ever seen a snow drift you know what I mean...they start out gradual and slowly, so slowly they grow bigger and bigger and bigger!! Next thing you know they have you surrounded and I mean literally! with their ice cold grasp reaching all around you!!! Woof Woof...I cannot talk about it anymore or I will need some serious counselling!!

I guess I will just have to hang out inside today (haha..another pun)with my bro and sis, who, I might add...are both Saint Bernards and like to show off prancing and playing in the snow in the ...er..well...you guessed it...the back yard!!!!! Oh well, what is a golden suppose to do???

I guess I will curl up by the fire with my favorite stuffed animal, soaking in all the loving mom, dad, grandma are willing to give!!....nothing wrong with that! After all I am a golden and I love affection!!!!

-STUFFED ANIMALS....I LOVE THEM...GOTTA HAVE ONE IN MY MOUTH WHEN GREETING ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!! OH AND IF YOU LEAVE YOUR SHOES LAYING AROUND ...WELL...I GET DIBS ON THEM...I WILL CARRY THEM AROUND ALL DAY FOR YOU!!!

- TWICE A DAY WHEN I AM SUPPOSE TOO...BUT WHENEVER I GET A CHANCE IF I AM COUNTER SURFING AND MOM ISN'T WATCHING..BUT IF I AM CAUGHT...I DON'T CARE CUZ IT IS SOOOO WORTH IT!!

WEIGHED IN THIS MORNING.....

Well, mom had me weighed this morning and I weigh in at a comfy 72 bls...which is the norm for me in the winter...come summer, I normally weigh in a svelte 65- 67lbs....nothing wrong with a little extra insulation (especially on really cold days!!).
Oh and mom isn't mad at me anymore since I have stopped all that nonsense and am being a good dog again (exception to food time of course..)!!!

I AM IN TROUBLE

Mom is angry with me. For the past couple of weeks I have been peeing in the house even though I have been house trained for almost 2 years. My last incident was about 15minutes ago...I waited until I was just about outside and then I lifted my leg and peed on the basement mat right in front of the door. Mom does not know what to do about this but I think I will be in trouble....to be continued....

STUFFED ANIMALS!!!

Yipppeeee!!! Mom and dad FINALLY bought me some new stuffed animals...I love my teddy bears!!! If someone comes calling or if mom or dad get home from work or even if it is first thing in the morning...I always greet everyone with a stuffed animal in my mouth!! I am sooo proud and I prance around happily! Well gotta go and play with Missy and Mambo...woof woof!!!
