02/04/13 Bad news

This morning the humans got up and loaded Coco and me into the crate in daddy’s truck. We were so excited to go for a ride even though it was to see a new vet. Coco needed a couple of shots and I have been limping so it was time for a professional to determine why.

Coco was NOT a nice little doggy – nope, wasn’t nice at all. She made it very hard for the vet to put the medicine in her nose because she kept on yanking her head all over the place. I actually think the vet got most of it all over her – BOL, BOL. Next she had to have rabies shot and do you know what the little princess did? Well let me tell you, she growled and tried to bite the vet. Luckily she missed but I’m sure the vet isn’t going to think too highly of Coco – BOL.

As for me, the vet muzzled me and took me into the back room so that they could explore the pads of my right front foot to see if I had anything stuck in there thus causing the limp. Nothing was found but that is the leg that has the large 2” tumor right below the elbow joint. The vet said the tumor is NOT a fatty tumor because it does not move, instead it appears to be a cancer related growth and the only option available for me because of my failing liver is to be on pain management medications and when that stops working then the humans and the vet will have another talk about what other course of action should be taken.

Anyhoodle, that’s all I have to bark about right now.

We sooo sad Puffy! *sniff,sniff* But humans doesn't always knows everything...da only one who can call you's to da bridge are the Great Master and we's gonna ask Rinky to intercede on you's behalf so you's can stay wif you's family a while longer.

Thank you all for your pressies and prayers.

Puff's human mom here: There have been several times that I was sure Puff was going to cross over to the Rainbow bridge but each time the little fellow has pulled through and managed to beat the odds. I cried and prayed last night that once again he could pull through.

All we can do now is wait and see if the medication helps him and how much the tumor grows.
