So, here we are in New Mexico and do I have some stuff to bark about! It gets cold here as Coco has already barked about but let me tell you why she is cold.

She refuses to sleep under the covers so it is her own fault. Me, I’m a very smart fellow so when it’s time to go to sleep I climb over the humans and go to where their pillows are and then nose my way down between the sheets and the bed covers and park my little white self right between the two humans. It’s a very toasty spot and I can assure you that you will stay nice and warm when the temperatures start to fall.

Of course this does not sit well with Coco and she often times will come stand on top of the covers where I am nestled at and start scratching and barking to tell me that I am not supposed to be under the covers. She will continue on with this nonsense until I either climb out from under the covers or one of the humans pushes her away.

Anyhow, when daddy got home from California at 1:30AM this morning he climbed into bed and tried to take Coco under the covers but she struggled and climbed back out and went to sit on the foot of the bed and shivered. However, as the temperature dropped and got colder she finally decided that enough was enough and she woke momma and allowed her to cover her up and snuggle with her so she could get warm – BOL, BOL. You should have heard all the grunting and groaning noises that she was making as her and momma snuggled under the covers. Maybe now she will see the error of her ways and start to like being covered; I hope so because there is nothing like having to human heaters and I don’t mind sharing with Coco.

I will have to say that under the covers is a great place, and I just started to get under there again cause of the cold...bbrrr

Yep, under the covers, snuggled in between the peepoles is the bestest place to be.

I always have Mom cover me up. Glad you are able to stay warm. Coco Rose will learn that underneath is the best place!

I can't stand being under the covers personally. Just like I can't understand why Missy who has hair will crawl under them and sleep with Mom when Mom is cold. It's not like Missy is cold it's Mom that is cold. Missy could keep Mom warm by just snuggling near on top of the covers but, noooo she has to get under them. Mom tried to put me under the covers but, I threw them off of me and her to make it clear to her that I don't want to sleep under the covers.

You are a clever boy! I'm a bit like Coco though cos Mummy sometimes tries to drag me in under the covers but I don't like it! I do let her put my pink blankie around me though, BOL!

Oh, we have this down perfect.
Mom gets in bed, Pepper has to snuggle and then after nose rubs are done, under the covers until she is too hot and then she bursts out like a SuperDog having just changed into costume.
I, Cutter, wait until about 3 am and mosey right up the side of Mom to wake her up so she can let me under the covers. I slide toward the foot of the bed and her feet, but she gets kind of kicky if I try and kiss them.
Scooter usually either heads to her pillow to snuggle against her neck.
Misty only puts her head under the cover in the spring time when the sun comes up too early for Mom to want to let her out.

In the middle in the covers is the only place to be!

How cold is it?????????????????????????????????????????
It was 77 here yesterday for raking and chasin' leaves.
Only made a dent! Will be cooler the rest of the week.
40-50's and high winds again for next 2 days......
Want a bag of wind?????? May come in handy for Halloween?
