12/21/11 Arleenton as a house bunnyDecember 21st 2011 11:30 pm[ View A Comments (11) ]
Coco and I came in from outside and looked up on the formal dining room table where Arleenton is being held in a small pet carrier until the tempertures warm up outside. There she was on her side not moving.
Puffy, can yu ask yur momma to take a picture of Arleenton on yur page. I wood wike tu see hur. Fank yu! PS I r gwad dat hers is OK an nod dead. Puff.. we are glad your bunny is loving being in doors.. that is good news... don't worry .. we sent Santa a letter and told him how good you are ! hohoho ! Buttercupi aww...so glad she was ok, I think she should stay in the house too! Yeah, let her stay in. She's just in time for Christmas (dinner) if you know what I mean. Jus' kiddin'! We've heard of bunnies being trained to use a litter box and having run of the house. Would you pups try to get her if she was left out? Hey! Can I come ober an' pway wif Arweenton, tu??? :D *Zaidie gets put into 'time out' in his clubhouse/lockdown quarters* Flash and Tinker Bell always lived in the house. Bunnies are social and like to be around other living creatures. By the way, Flash loved to play dead--it was one of his favorite tricks. He would lay there still and wait until one of the humans came over upset, and then he would get up and I'm not kidding...he looked like he was laughing. He really enjoyed playing tricks on the humans. Of course, he didn't fool me any--it is hard to fool us dogs because was are so smart. I'm sure you are on Santa Paw's nice list! We's got bunnies here, but they's outside in the bushes and junk. I bet she is likin' being inside where it's all warm. You have a bunneh in your house?!? Can I come chase it?!? That'll wake her up, BOL! p.s. We're glad she's ok. Woof! Mom brought Stew in once, he was uncomfortable with this arrangement due to Grandma's terriers trying to terrorize him. So he is back to being outside and his cage if covered up. Mom, Monty and I go outside and play with him often. Glad Arleenton is feeling better. Arleenton has always been an outside bunny but when Grayson, her bunny friend passed away there was no way for her to stay warm enough outside even though her hutch was covered nightly. The winds up here really get brisk and cold when the sun goes down. Bunnies in the house can do lots of damage. They eat electrical cords, dig holes in carpets and they even eat the door frames. Another thing about rabbits is that their urine is very concentrated and smells. Momma has been cleaning Arleentons in-door cage daily but has started to complain that the house is beginning to smell like rabbit urine. I think Arleenton is happy being in the house but our house is really small and we don't have a place to put a cage. As soon as it gets warmer Arleenton will be back outside again but momma will watch her to make sure she does not start to loose weight again. Luna - there is a video of Grayson and Arleenton on my page, it's the third one down on my home page. Arleenton is the little black bunny. Right under that video I posted a picture of her just for you. I like bunnies and other small critters! Momma used to have 2 guinea pigs when I first came to live here! They went to the Bridge a few years ago, but they were sure fun to sniff and watch and I liked listening to them squeak!! |
