There has been an ongoing battle between me and my momma regarding where I should sleep at night. I want to sleep on the daybed right next to momma but she wants me to sleep in the crate. Each night momma would say “Ni-Night” and show off Coco would go running into her crate as happy as can be. Me, I scurried out of there as fast as my legs would take me and then make the humans come find me and carry me back to the crate. Once I’m in the crate I would wait until the humans were asleep then start my barking just to let them know that I do not like the crate.

I thought the battle was won when I destroyed the zipper and nylon fabric that the crate was made out of and momma threw it in the garbage. I danced around and held my head high because I was smarter than the humans. That solo party only lasted a few hours because momma then got out one of the cat carriers and set that up for my new sleeping quarters. I hated my new “bed” so I then still barked in the middle of the night but I added licking my front feet for good measure also. Momma was noticing my paws were wet when she let me out of the crate in the mornings and concluded that I was licking my paws because I was upset. Gosh it took her long enough to figure this out.

Anyhoodle, for the last two nights I have been allowed to sleep on the daybed with momma and I have not barked nor have I been licking my paws. I won, I won no more crates for me…or so I thought.

Tonight momma brought home a new crate. It is made out of plastic and wire and is supposed to be impossible to destroy. Momma said she is going to set it up tomorrow and I will get to try it out tomorrow night. All I can say is that momma is wrong if she thinks I’m going to sleep in the crate instead of on the daybed and that this battle is not over yet.

Puff.. you can come to my house .. my mommy sleeps wif me ever night .. where ever i sleep is where ya gonna find mom. right now iz been in her arms for 2 hours sleep on her chest as she types this with one hand ..LOL ! iz been habin one of my gastritis attacks and i finally feel asleep on her lap.. poor mom hafs to work tomorrow .. i fink shes gonna be tired !

Can you just remind me why your mom don't want you to sleep with her ? Is it because your too big ? Just let me have a good laugh ! BOL Is it because you snore ? Every pharmacy have ear plugs. Is it because you make smelly farts ? A tiny little doggie like you cannot smell this bad, don't he ? Plastic and wire will not stop you to bark or lick your paw. Good luck ! XOXOXO

I'm rooting for you as well, Puff. Is a daybed like a futon? I sneak up on the futon when no one is watching. Apparently I am "too big" to be on the furniture!

Awe Puff, as long as you don't jumb down and go potty or bark..... WTW (what the woof), why not let you sleep wiff mom??? My mom calls me her little hot water bottle- you could keep her warm too!!
