Yes, one year ago today I was adopted from the Retrievers & Friends of Southern California, Inc. My journey was not always smooth because I have been hurt in the past so I tend to get scared real easy. Coco Rose my doggy sister has been a big help to me. I know I complain about her all the time but we actually complement each other. She is bossy and full of confidence; I am timid and don’t mind letting her be the leader. My kitty brother Simba can be mean at times but I learned to just let him be and we seem to get along well now. Bay-Ling my kitty sister and Arleenton my Bunny sister are both pretty neat. My humans take good care of me and now that they aren’t trying to feed me tofu any longer I am really, really happy (yes, the diet stuff has ended).
Life has really improved and I am looking forward to having another good year.
PS – I forgot to tell you what the little princess did. She peed on momma’s daybed. Yes, soaked the covers and ruined the memory foam mattress. Momma couldn’t sleep so she let Coco and I up and she was sitting at the sewing table playing a computer game until she got tired. When momma went to get under the covers she discovered that Coco has left her a present. So here was momma at 2:00am doing laundry. It’s a good thing for Coco that daddy just happened to buy momma a new mattress for the daybed as a birthday present for momma. When momma told daddy what had happened he gave her the new mattress. It turns out that the medication that the vet gave to Coco cause excessive thirst and urination so Coco didn’t actually get in trouble.
Got to go and celebrate my one year….Puff
*hugs* happy gotcha day!!!! :o) We're so happy you're in your furever home!
I'm glad you found such a nice furever home. Happy Gotcha Day! I don't know about day beds, but tell your Mommy they have mattress covers for regular mattresses that are waterproof for "accidents", but they are cloth--not that awful plastic. They probably have them for day bed mattresses too.
