Birthday: November 2nd 2004 Likes: Giving kisses and warming laps Pet-Peeves: People who don't want to kiss her Arrival Story: Little Kate Hudson was rescued by a Kentucky man who noticed her from the roof he was working on. Day after day as he was roofing a house, he would see Kate and another dog alone in an outdoor kennel of the yard next door. He never saw anyone interact with the dogs and he did not like the looks of the conditions they were living in.
When the roofing job was done he knocked on the door to ask about the dogs and their owner said, YOU CAN HAVE THEM. The roofer took the dogs to a local shelter just when volunteers from Rogers Rescues were visiting. Kate was an immediate hit and she came home to Pennsylvania with them the next day. Bio: Katie is an absolute dream. At approximately 4 years old she is calm, housebroken and loving. Her favorite pastime is giving kisses (nickname Kissie Kate!). Her second favorite activity is lap warming followed closely by tail wagging. Most of the day she curls up under her foster mom's desk beside one of her foster siblings. She asks for nothing but a little love.
Kate is living with 5 other dogs and she gets along with all of them. She has not started playing with toys yet but she has only been in foster care less than a week. She probably never had a toy before. She is great on a leash and enjoys a daily walk. Despite a rough start in life, she is a girl who loves life, dogs and every single person she has ever met.
Katie is spayed and up to date on all shots, heartworm medicine and flea and tick preventative. She would be a fantastic dog for a family or for a single person who would like a loving companion.
