My first week

4 months old!

I'm 4 months old today! Mom took me to the vet for my last round of shots. Glad that's over with. I'm up to 45 pounds now. Mom said she won't be able to pick me up for much longer!
I'm trying to show mom how smart I am. I'm doing pretty good on the basics in training. I do such a good sit and I even know how to shake! Still working on the down one, but I'm trying. It's just so hard to sit still!!
In the last couple of weeks I've discovered my voice. I'm gonna be a good guard dog and keep mom safe here. I'm not like one of those little dogs that barks all the time or anything like that, but mom always knows when someone is at the front door. But this evening I barked at something I didn't need to. Mom put popcorn in the microwave and that was a new sound I hadn't heard before! But once mom showed me that it was only popcorn, I felt kinda silly. Mom got a good laugh.
They are saying it might snow here this weekend. I'm really, really hoping it does. Mom says it will be fun to play in the snow.

Stuff

Things are going really good here. My mom took me to the park across the street for the first time the other day. There weren't any other dogs or people there, so I had it all to myself. It was fun, except for the city workers that were using this loud machine to clean up all the leaves. That was kinda scary so I stayed away from them. Mom lifted me up and put me on top of the slide and took my picture.
I've also been going for my first walks! We don't go very far and mom said I do very good on the leash. There are a couple of scary dogs that bark at me when I walk by, but I'm trying to get used to them.
I've been doing so great with my potty training over the past week. I've learned to go to the back door when I need to go out. And I've been sleeping thru the whole night without having to wake mom up!
Well that's about all for now..

My first week

I've been at my new home for a week now, and am loving it. My mom gives me lots of love and so does all of her family and friends.
I'm doing so good with my potty training. I haven't had an accident in the house yet!
I love it when somone new comes over. They always bring me presents and treats! My mom's friend came over the other night and brought his little pug dog. I'm already bigger than he is! I was a little scared at first, but then it was ok... And then today, my mom took me over to my aunt's house to meet her dog (mom says she's trying to socialize me). But that Max dog was scary. He came running at me and really scared me. And when we were in the backyard, I was still scared and tried barking at him which seemed to work. But then I realized that he was a good boy and just wanted to play and didn't mean to scare me, so then everything was ok and we played a little bit. I even got to sit with my cousin Ava (she's 2) on her little slide outside. My mom picked me up and put me on the platform on the top of the slide. I felt like I was "queen of the world." And I wasn't scared at all! I tried to go down the slide, but mom didn't think that was a good idea. Guess she thought I might get hurt so she wouldn't let me. :( But I guess she's right. Mother knows best right?
Anyways, I'm pretty worn out so gotta go take a nap...
