I had the afternoon off of work, and knowing I wanted a white peke as my first dog, went looking for breeders...I stumbled upon him in a most unusual place and had to have him that day...it was FATE!

Bio:
Maverick is a sweet thinker with a lot of pride, I honestly think he doesn't know he is a dog, and he has two brothers Trigger and Doc that constantly try to remind him he is. He spends most of his days in a fenced in back yard or on our big purple couch pondering the meaning of life. He loves to ride in the car to the dog park every chance he can :)

Last week I somehow hurt myself. I came to the door greating my mommy with a painful bark...my back was arched...my tail was down...and I sounded like an angry dolphin :( I kept forgetting that I hurt myback and leg so I would jump up on the couch and then remember that it really hurt. I wouldn't let anyone touch me, I was so afraid to be in pain. Because I kept crying, my mom brought me to the doggie hospital in a laundry basket. I'm glad I didn't have to walk too much. I was given some medicine but it didn't really help until two days later. Poor mommy stayed up with me at night sometimes and would lay on the floor with me because I couldn't get in our bed or on the couch :( Now I feel better, and as long as Doc doesn't jump on me too much I should be fine. And now twice a day, Mommy gives me special meatballs (she thinks she is being tricky trying to sneak my medicine in there, and I pretend that I don't know). ~Mav
