Schnauzer of the week....Wow!

O.K. I know that Day light savings time was at 2am this morning but I could have sworn it was already April Fools day. I went to the Schnauzer's Rule this first thing this morning as I do most days. After looking around for a few minutes I soon found out that I had been named Schnauzer of the week! Me!! I was so very excited and honored! I LOVE this group and all of the wonderful furiends that I have made there. It's just a super group and I am so happy to be in it!

So I'd say that today was a "Blessing and Bright Day" for sure!!

1. What color is your collar?
Red with little paws on it and I even wear a pretty charm with my picture and information on it...I am micro chipped too

2. What kind of food do you eat?
I usually eat Wellness core reduced fat but just recently momma got me EVO reduced fat Turkey...I'm not fat, my vet says that reduced fat is always best for Schnauzers and I love my food

3. What are your favorite treats?
Apples are my favorite


4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other??
Yep, that sweet boy DUKE is my Valentine

5. Do you get Table Scraps?
not very often....mom tries to bring me something I can have while they eat.....it's all good

6. What is your favorite toy?
Wow so many to choose from but right now I have to say a singing/barking stuffed white poodle

7. When is your Birthday?
Being that I was dumped at the shelter.....the folks didn't even bother to give any of my information. They did remember from a prior time when I was found roaming the streets of MS that my old family did come pick me up that time and I was going to be 2 this past December....My vet confirmed here in TN that yep I was very young so....We picked December 10th 2006 and that's my momma birthday too

8. How many times a day do you get to eat?
Breakfast and supper, plus snacks in between.

9. Do you have a favorite color?
Red is my favorite, but I love the Maryville College Tartan. That's where my human brother goes and its orange and garnet plaid.....woo hoo

10. Do you hope all your pals put this in their diary?
I hope so. I love learning new things about my pals.

I have been blessings my family for 6 mos and 3 days now and there is no doubt that I am where I was intended to be....NO DOUBT!


Yesterday was my second Barkday and it was AMAZING!! I got so many presents, treats and love from so many friends and family. My page looks so great with all of the sweet presents and well wishes from my special dogster furiends. Y'all are so sweet and really touch momma and me.

I have only just begun and I know there are many "Blessings and Bright Days ahead!!! So as always, from me to all who read this....

Momma say's I think I'm a squirrel

OH boy....It seems that I have developed a bit of a situation for myself here on the homestead. Let me elaborate for you. We have a HUGE pecan tree outside....HUGE! This year there is a bountiful harvest of pecans. Well, momma and daddy get out and pic up the nuts every chance they get to stay ahead of the enemy....you got it....SQUIRRELS!
Well doesn't this all sound so wonderful for my family. Fresh pecans...ummmm! Wait right there! I decided to get in on said harvest. What, I'm the rescue here and after all this will be my first Thanksgiving. It seems that I have been sneaking in pecans and hiding them in various locations in the house. The couch cushions, under my toys and probably other places that they haven't found yet.
Now before I am allowed back in the house, I am mouth searched for any contraband/pecans! Mom just got off the phone with my vet Dr. Dee Dee and she said they wouldn't hurt me but that I did not need to have them. Momma was right. THIS TIME!

O.K. yall....I just got tagged by my buddy Mr. Tuggles....his name is Mr. Tuggles but I love to call him "Little Big Man" because he's just special and you can tell he thinks he's ten feet tall but he's still very much a puppy. TOO CUTE!!

Wonderful things

Wow!! I am so honored and humbled!! Being a rescue is such a blessing and things for me as of late are well, AMAZING!! I am not bragging here so please don't be mistaken.....thankful, grateful and blessed are the words I MUST use.
First, I recently won a halloween costume contest at the local Petsmart....such an honor. Especially when you consider that I was wearing a costume made from a simple box that momma and daddy fashioned into of all things an AIRPLANE! Momma wanted to do something that would represent and advocate the Schnauzer Love Rescue that saved me from a fate of only three days before I would be put down. A miracle that must not be forgotten. I wore that costume all tricked out with pride. You can see my pics above.
If that wasn't enough I am featured on the Schnauzer Love Rescue website right now....WOW!! I would not be here if it weren't for those amazing people. Please take just a second and click on the link below. My feature will be there for the next 7 or 8 days. Momma and I pray that every rescue gets adopted just like me. We are not garbage to be thrown away just because a human decides that they don't want us anymore. I don't know what that was so terrible that my first owners decided I should be put down. That is the past and I am exactly where I a supposed to be now. I am a blessing and my family is whole again because I am here. Are you kidding me?

As many of you know, I am a rescue.....A RESCUE! So if you've seen my page, then you know that things are pretty good for me now. I have great food, lots of recreation and if I do say so, my momma's taste in clothes for me is fabulous.
Well, the only problem I am having is this whole having to go out and pee when the weather is less than to my liking. Such is the case this morning! WHAT IS GOING ON!! Momma opens up the door and the world is beautiful and I set my lovely paw out to greet the world just as I always do and WAIT JUST A SECOND....who decided to turn down the outside thermostat like that??? I didn't get the memo!! Just then momma says hurry up lets go.....hurry up!! ARE YOU SERIOUS???? Oh, it's on...I'm goin back in the house....but...momma says I'm going to potty!! So with everything in me, I find a spot closest to the house and let it fly......Hey, why is there steam coming off my pee? Mission accomplished! I'm going back to bed.
