Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, but as you can imagine, things have been hectic around here. All went well with mom's surgery. She did get really sick from the anesthesia or morphine and was out of sorts from that until Saturday night. Mom came home Sunday and I was so happy to see her, but I knew I couldn't jump on her or anything once I saw the crutches. Mom said I was excellent! I went through it with daddy so I know what's right and wrong.
As you can imagine not a whole lot going on around here. Brett did come over once and play with us, but most of the time we just hang with mom. Mom sleeps on the sofa at night and I always sleep on the floor next to her or sometimes on her chest. I know to stay away from her knee. She does get hooked up to this weird contraption 3x a day for an hour and this is the only time both of us dogs get to sit with mom. This thing bends mom's knee and it looks painful. But mom is determined to get better fast so she makes sure to do exactly what the doctor tells her. She goes to PT three times a week and they must have really worked her over on Thursday cause she was hurting really bad. Hopefully they don't do that again.
Mom does throw the toys for us in the house and we run around, but it's just not the same. I feel bad for mom cause she really can't get around much yet. We have people stop by and see us, but what is surprising to me is that grandma and Kelsey have only been here once. I kind of thought they would be here several times since they're family, but I guess they're too busy. I'm also surprised that Tanner's moms didn't stop by. Especially Tanner C's mom since they just live up the street. I know mom is a little depressed about that since she thought they were good friends, but not everyone is like mom and dad and go out of their way for people when they need them. I know grandma and Kelsey really bother her and if I could make them come, I would definitely cause mom has enough to deal with without feeling that she's not important enough for her family to come visit.
Anyway, that's about where we are with mom. I'm sure I'll post another update next week. Mom doesn't do much except read, watch TV and PT and doesn't like sitting with the computer on her lap so that's why we're just now updating. Maybe when she starts to feel better, I'll post more. Thanks for all the well wishes and know that I'm taking really good care of mom:)
One thing that is making mom happy is that our Patriots are going to the Super Bowl! GO PATRIOTS!!!
