Mom had the surgery on her right hand done last Thursday, the 13th. It went very well and she is experiencing less pain every day! She says she has two new hands now, but, really, they both look the same as they always did to me!
The stitches will come out by the 27th and she'll be up and running normally! I can't wait. Since the surgeries, she's been on "light duty" at work and unable to throw routes. I've been pretty bored.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THOSE FLYERS????????? Mom has been a fan for 40+ years. She's flying high on the Flyer's success!!
GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!

Mom had surgery on her left hand 4/15/10, and it was very successful! All the pain and tingling is GONE!
The right hand is scheduled to be done on 5/13/10, and we expect things to go well then, too.
Joel is out of the hospital and doing fine. Thank goodness...he's my buddy!
We are all doing ok and trying to be around at least a few times a week for now.
Thank you all for your kindness.
Love ya!

Mom has not been well and her hands have become very painful. She is scheduled for surgery on her left hand Thursday and, hopefully, her right hand after a few weeks. We should be okay after that.
My skin-bro, Joel is currently in the hospital with pneumonia, and they're looking at things like congestive heart failure as well...Mom is really a mess over that, but keeping it together, so far.
Work is pretty boring right now as we're not running any routes due to Mom's hands, but after she heals, we'll be back in the saddle again, so to speak.
Mom and I miss you all and hope we're still friends with you all!!
Please say a small prayer for my Mom, okay??? Things have been very hard for way too long!
Love you all,
Bubba D.

Well, Mom had to wait till she had money to get a new 'puter tower, whatever that is. Apparently our old one fried, but I sure didn't smell anything...
Mom has just begun to recover from the flu...garden variety, she says. She was so weak she could hardly walk! I was worried for a while, there!!
Mom has also been having more problems with her hands, Her doctor said she needed to go to a specialist, but Mom says she can't afford it, so she's going to have to have them treated thru worker's comp. Again, whatever that is... anyways, I just want her better. Mom has so much pain in her hands, it's gotten hard for her to type for me for very long, so I hope everyone can bear with us.
It's been a year I won't hesitate to say "goodbye" to!
Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy 2nd birthday. It was a real nice day that would have been so much better around you guys, my friends!
Love to all!

Oh, please...this is what Mom calls grinding my nails...pretty feet!
Ever since I was hurt last January, I've been a real snot about getting my nails done! Don't really know why, just 'cos I can, I suppose.
Mom bought a nicely padded cage type muzzle for me to wear when I go to the vet. Those of you that know me understand why. Anyhow, now she uses it when I have to have my nails done.
It just took Mom almost an hour to trim my nails a LITTLE BIT (!) with the grinder!
Mom says this is ridiculous and she may have to "tranquilize" me with some kind of natural stuff if things don't get better soon!
Believe me, if I knew why I didn't like it done all of a sudden, I'd tell her and we could fix it!
Mom gave me a bunch of diced chicken afterward, but I'm still mad and sulking on the bed!
Any suggestions would be helpful.....

Tomorrow, we remember 9/11/01. We think of all the loss of life and the sorrow that many people live with to this day!
We think of the survivors of that day and the stuggles they have faced every day since, some have become so bitter, unable to forget the events of that horrible day.
Some are faced with "survivor's guilt".
Tomorrow, please take a few moments to remember that day and say a prayer for those left behind.
9/11 also holds a good thing...it's my skin-uncle's birthday! We will be celebrating Uncle Tim's birthday tomorrow.
Mom and I believe it's important to remember that not everything about this particular date is bad.
Thanks for listening...

I finally learned how to hover, or rather, Mom did.
There are those of you who are thinking "big deal!". If you knew my Mom, you'd be celebrating with me! She's not the sharpest tool in the shed, computer-wise! Can't believe she did it!
Thank you, friends at Black and Tan group for helping us figure it out! I'm so pleased!
I'm exhausted now...I'm going to take a nap...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz(snore)zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz(snort)zz(snore )zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... .........

What a beautiful morning! No rain in sight!
Mom and I had a great ride on the route last night. This is the one she calls the "Zen" route. She's hoping some of it rubs off on her. Hehe! We saw alot of deer last night. They were very frisky in the cool air! Lots of bucks were out, too. They all must be getting used to my scent 'cos they're not running away like they used to. Mom said there are alot of "trophy" bucks on the route. The way she said it leads me to believe it's a good thing.
I'm feeling SO great today!!!!!

Mom was having alot of trouble thinking, having some changes to her vision, was just plain weird. She thought she'd had a stroke or something, so she went to the dreaded doc. The doc said no stroke... NOT YET! Okay, major wake-up call for Mom! Doc said to take it as easy as possible, avoid stress (HA!) and to rest, rest, rest! Mom had to keep working, of course. Gotta put kibble in the bowl, and keep a roof over the ole' doghouse that is our home.
Mom has done everything the doc told her to do, except quit smoking. The doc actually wanted Mom to wait till she was well rested for that so as not to add MORE stress. I think Mom is going again for meds to help her quit.
I can't type myself, 'cos my feets too big, so I haven't been anywhere on the 'puter for a while.
We had a friend of Mom's who lost their elderly dog a few weeks ago and another friend called Mom tonight for doggie advise. She thinks their dog is dying. Mom is on "comfort alert" right now.
I feel bad about how rotten things have been for Mom! She had so much stress taking care of me after my January injury. She worked so very hard to bring me back to almost normal! She recently got me off Rimadyl because she was so worried about liver failure and behavior changes (some of the MANY side effects). Now I'm all herbal. I feel great now, thanks to Mom. Unfortunately, she paid the price for it.
It hasn't been the finest of years, so far, but there have been bright spots, like our friends here.
Thank you for sending my Mom birthday wishes! We had a nice, quiet day together. It was fun. Mom says she can't believe she's made it to 50! I can...when all is said and done, she's a tough old bird!
