Bad Hare Day!

Yesterday morning, while mom was getting ready for work I went out in the back yard to see if all of the snow melted and…you know…poop. Anyway, imagine my surprise when I found this huge, dead, stinky rabbit under where all the snow and ice were! I was SOOO EXCITED I had to bring it in the house for mom to see.

When I ran in the door I was so excited I ran past mommy & down the hall to the bedroom. Mommy didn’t see the pawresent I had fur her yet. I wasn’t able to hide the pawresent very long because all my furry family members ran after me down the hall. I turned back, ran to mommy & dropped the rabbit at her feet. She stood there fur a minute, turned the hall light on and began screaming and yelling to God repeatedly. I think she even said “why would you do this?” and “this is horrible” like a million times. But most of all it was “Oh My God!!”.

I am not really sure who pooped or peed in the floor but I would like to thank them for ruining mommy’s surprise! Or, maybe it was my surprise she was upset about??? NAH! I know she loved it!

I like ICE!

We have been home playing in the snow and ice for a couple of days now. Mom and Dad have been unable to go to work so we have been playing outside!! Daddy likes to make snowballs and throw them but I prefer to play with and eat ICE! Mom thinks it is so funny she made a video of me getting the ice from Daddy and running off. She is adding it to my page so you can see how much I like it.

I hope we get to do a lot more of this stuff…what will I eat when summer comes??? Maybe a dolphin!!! BOL!!!

WHAT THE HECK??

My new sisful Nugget attacked me fur no reason last night. I am not even sure what set her off but she made a boo boo below my eye. I forgive her & hope she knows we all love her...no matter what. But...OUCH! That hurt! Meanie!

Perfection

Look no further my furriends...purfection is easily found right here; in a small, cute, blonde, furry ball of love. That's right! I am perfect - Daddy told me so.

I am feeling much better!!!

As you know our newest furmember of the family made me a little sick and I had to go to the Vet for some shots & meds. Mom and Dad were soooo good about (1) getting me to the vet as soon as they noticed something was wrong and (2) giving me my meds twice a day until they were gone. I stopped coughing about a week ago but yesterday, after we were all put playing in the back yard Mommy noticed I had runny eyes (she calls it “eye boogers”) and she was immediately concerned. Shucks! I was all better! Dad said maybe it was nothing but Mommy said the “eye boogers” were runny & green so…back to the vet I go!!! Will update you after I go in the morning.

The way I see it, if this is from the newby (aka Chleo, aka Nugget) too, I am going to steal her next treat. I mean, it is only fair…right?

Still kinda icky

Mom and Dad have been super, super wonderful to me since I am sick. I really believe that they would rather be sick than see me sick...me too! What a coincidence!

Mom has been keeping a diary on my symptoms, etc. in case she needs to take me back to the vet and today she has to add puking overnight. I puked clear liquid three times last night. Mom called the vet and he said to try to give me crushed ice twice a day. I'm thinking I need some strawberry flavoring on that crushed ice but, apparently that is not what the vet says.

I seem to be coughing a lot more when I move around so mom and dad are trying to make me stay calm. I have been unusually calm anyway. I kinda sit on the loveseat and stare around as if to say "ugh".

Hope all is better soon because I miss running and playing with my fursisters and furbrother...even though he is not much of a player.

Back from the Vet

I had kennel cough! We are all very confused! Mommy has all of us vaccinated every time we are due for anything. I am not sure why she does the kennel cough vaccine because she refuses to let us stay anywhere but home with an in-house pet sitter when they go anywhere but, she does.

Doc said we caught it really early (I started coughing last night) so it may get a little worse before it gets better but I had like four shots today (polyflex, vitamin B12, diphenhydramine, and aminophylline) and have two prescriptions (cephalexine and hydroxyzine). WHEW! Those are some hard words to type with furry paws! Doc also said that mommy and daddy could have brought it home when they went to get Chleo and, because they can't control themselves, petted EVERY DOG THEY SAW! Geez!

Anyway, just wanted to update everyfur and thank ALL of you for your kinds words and inspiratinal pawresents!

I'm sick!

I have to go to the vet this afternoon to get checked out fur a really bad cough I started having overnight. Mom is worried because we always get our vaccines on time, including the canine swine flu as well as bordatella…and mommy refuses to board us so I am not even sure why she makes us get that icky stuff up our nose. When mommy talked to the vet’s assistant she was freaked out because she told her that dogs with heart problems present with a cough that is worse overnight. Pawlease pray for me and my mom’s sanity…she worries A BUNCH! Love to all my Dogsters out there!!
