Well, It's that time of year--time for the dreaded dental. I eat the EXACT same thing as Burt, but my teeth are all scummy. Burt's? Pearly white! The Mom and the Dad decided they weren't going to have my teeth cleaned anymore because last year and the year before I had a lot of problems with anesthesia--super low heart rate, which the vet thought was a reaction to acepromazine. The second time we didn't use the Ace, but I still had a low heart rate. Then vet hooked me up to an ekg during my next physical and low and behold, periods of irregular heartbeat!
Fast forward to Thursday. Burt & I spent the day with Doc for our semi-annual physicals, and the vet was going over what she found with the Mom. The Mom was going to tell the vet about the decision not to do a dental. Before the Mom could open her mouth, Doc told her about a pea-sized tumor that she found in MY mouth! Right above my front teeth, attached to my gum. So, I have to be put under so Doc can remove it and send it out for diagnosis. Might as well do the dental while I'm resting my eyes.
Will let you know how things go next week.
Sure hoping everything goes well while you're under anesthesia, sweet Dixie girl (best to get that little tumor removed) and you'll have an even brighter smile afterwards!
Love to all~

Sleep safe and wake up all shiney toothed and bumpless !!
Hope your dental went well Dixie & glad the vet found the little tumor & got it removed. Praying the diagnostics on it will be good news! Prayers for you & your family.

Dixie, hope all goes well getting that little tumor outta there and getting white teeth all at once. I'm having my teeth cleaned in a few weeks, too!
All paws crossed things go Ok and the darn tumor is nothing but a bump....
Keeping you in our prayers.
