The New Life

We went to the vet to get my rabies shot and were offered to do the bloodtests that day. No HW but...I have Lyme disease and Ehrlichiosis. Both from ticks. I have antibiotics for a month and hopefully that will do it. Besides possible back pain, I haven't had any other symptoms so the prognosis should be good. Stupid ticks! Did you know they are out here year-round?! Yes, even in winter. We still got them on us in November.

The ice here is getting annoying. Our whole driveway/yard is a glacier. The only good thing is the drifts have frozen so much I can walk atop them like a mountain goat. Still, we are pacing around waiting for Spring to arrive.

Yep.. and is why I cannot miss the boys having Frontline for even a month and they have to have Interceptor monthly too. Heartworm is rife here.

The %$^&* ticks paraglide out the bushes and trees here.

One day we may have -20F.. 2 days later.. 75F ... so.. it has to be year around protection.

Hoping you are well SOON Sweet Boy

Yes I am starting to realize this! We had a brutal winter so I did stop the Interceptor but they are getting it again now. At least it's better than Texas fleas...?

Kaspy is doing well, thankfully. Only a couple of pills left.
