Arrival Story:
After dog sitting for her off and on since she was a puppy, we adopted her at the age of three from friends who she belonged to and who adored her. We also knew the folks who cared for her mother, Sugar, who would visit us occasionally. Ginger was Sugar's last and only puppy. Being an only puppy is the reason (we think) that Ginger prefers people to other dogs. Ginger goes to "work" several times a week to an art gallery and meets and greets the visitors. She gets lots of pets and admiration there as she also does when she rides home in her bag. Ginger makes New Yorkers as well as tourists smile and she often gets her photo taken. We joke that Ginger's photo is on refrigerators around the world.

For Halloween 2002, we decided our fellow New Yorkers needed a reason to smile, so we dressed Ginger up in a Princess outfit. She was a big success. Last year for Halloween, she was an NYU Cheerleader and this year is a Fairy.
