My new house

So, I am a little confused lately. We went to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's while they were gone to Europe and then suddenly we never went home. All our stuff is here at this new house but I don't know how it got here because we never went to get it. Mommy and Daddy disappeared for a few days and G and G looked after me and then...poof! All our stuff is now here in this new place. Must be magic!! I kind of like my new house and we are right across from the river but I miss my friends at the dog park and I miss seeing Amanda and Paul all the time. I also got hurt already since we've been here and I haven't been feeling very good cuz of my medicine I am taking for my throat. Mommy was throwing a stick for me and I caught it really funny and it jammed into the ground and my mouth at the same time. When I landed, I also hit a prickle bush so when I yelped mommy thought it was cuz of that. Then later, I was just shakin' and droolin' blood on the floor so mommy got really scared and rushed me to that vet guy. He said I had a hole in my throat from where the stick got me and that I needed to be on medicine so it wouldn't get infected. The good part was I got to eat all canned food for almost a whole week and none of that bland dry stuff. My medicine tasted funny...bananas or something but it's all gone now and I was a good boy taking it twice a day so I got lots of yummy treats.
Well, sorry I haven't written for so long but things were kind of crazy round here. Now we are somewhat settled in our new house and I should be back more often again. Hope all my pals are doing good.

My friend Sammy (actually my cousin if you want to be- technical)

I wanted to write because my mommy was sad tonight when she found a picture of my cousin and friend Sammy (not to be confused with my auntie Sami whose page is on here too) My cousin Sammy came to live with us a few years ago while his daddy was in school. I didn't like him very much at first. He was a BIG BIG dog but he was a puppy so he had far too much energy for my liking. He weighed close to a hundred pounds and was only 6 months old when he came to live with us. Mommy picked him up at the airport after he flew to our house from California. It was funny cuz the customs slip said a puppy was coming so the airport guys who were unloading the plane thought they were getting a little baby dog. Boy were they shcoked when Sammy showed up!! I got used to him and even started to like him after a while...he kept me company when Mommy and Daddy were gone and we played together sometimes in the yard. Sammy left to go back to California when his daddy finished school and even though I didn't expect to, I actually missed the big guy. Last year Sammy had a sore leg so his mommy and daddy took him to the vet. The vet said they had to do xrays and because he was so big the vet said they had to put Sammy to sleep while they xrayed. It turned out that nothing was wrong with Sammy's leg so his mommy and daddy felt better. Not too long after that though Sammy got sick and when he didn't start to get better his mommy and daddy took him back to the vet. He ended up having pneumonia really bad and the vet said there was nothing he could do. Sammy's mommy and daddy had to have him put to sleep and we were all so sad. Sammy was only three when he went to the bridge and I know he is waiting there for me so we can play together again. My mommy is going to put his picture on here but right now she is too sad so she will probably do it tomorrow. I just want to say that Sammy was a really good friend and I miss him lots. Sam, I know you're looking out for me from up there and I can't wait til we can play together and hang out just like the good old days. You were a good pal and I miss you. When Mommy and I looked at your picture today we were both really sad but we hope you are happy and free from pain and that you are playing lots and getting lots of treats up there.

Oh boy...I'm in trouble now

Mommy just found out that I haven't been writing in my diary more often. The other night I told her I was writing in it but I was really in here checking out some of the girl dogs on some other pages. (There's some CUTE girls on Dogster!!) Now she saw that it's been so long and she caught me lying....that's okay, with her when I'm in trouble it usually means I just get one less treat or something. She has a hard time gettin' mad at me cuz I just look at her all cute and then she laughs and boom...out come the treats...works like a charm everytime!
So, it was pouring rain yesterday and we didn't get to go to the park. Instead Mommy once again tried to pass off playing in our yard as some acceptable form of exercise. She made up for it today though with a great trip down to the park...we played for a LONG time and I have been super tired for the rest of the day.
Well, I don't have a lot to say because it's kind of late and I am ready for bed but I wanted to say that my auntie Sami is on here now too. She already has quite a few pals...I guess people think her and my uncle Scamp are cute or something cuz they're little. Sami is my daddy's parents' dog. You can read her page under my family and you can go by and say hi and leave her some treats too. Good night pals!

Utter humiliation

Well, if it isn't bad enough that my mommy started using a picture of me looking miserable in Daddy's funny hat in her own journal, now she has posted it here in my pictures. She thinks it's so cute because I could not look more unhappy (and I think my eyes look kinda cross eyed or something even) so now she wants everyone else to see it too. I'm afraid all the other dogs are gonna laugh at me but mommy assures me that all doggie parents put their doggies through the whole hat wearing for pictures thing. Just look at the ad for pet costumes from Magic Wardrobe and that poor doggie in the straw hat that is on this site (right now it's right at the top of the page but I'm not sure if it's there all the time) Anyway, the humiliation is so deep...I am going to hang my head in shame and try to look really cute and sad so mommy will feel bad and give me treats. Don't tell her but I kinda thought the hat was funny too!!

Fun in the snow!!

Well, I have been having a lot of fun playing in this snow stuff. The park is awesome and except for losing my ball sometimes when my mommy throws it for me really far and it gets stuck underneath the snow, it has been so much fun. I get tired easier too so Mommy likes it...she says me running in the snow is like running on sand or something, it makes you tired faster.
I have been really happy to be at home and have my normal life back. I can't figure out what's going on with my mommy though...usually she has to leave to go to school and stuff but she hasn't put that big black bag around her shoulder for a long time...not that I'm complaining...I hate it when she leaves me and she has been at home WAY more than usual. She doesn't seem very happy about it most of the time though...she walks around muttering things about "needing to find a job" and stuff. I don't know why she can't be happy just hanging out with me...I'm pretty good company aren't I?
Anyway, I'm tired after lots of playing today so I better get back to sleep.

Uncle Scamp

I think I wrote before about how Mommy was gonna put uncle Scamp on here...hee hee...it's funny cuz he's my uncle but I'm way bigger than him. Don't tell anyone but I call him "Lil Scamp" when no ones around. Anyway, Mommy made his new page and now he is under my family so you can see Scamp too when you come to visit me. Even though I usually like all the attention, Mommy said that I should write that anyone who visits me should visit Scamp too and leave him a bone. I guess since I have lots of pals it would be nice to share some of my new friends with my uncle Scamp. Anyway, check out his page and happy new year again.

Happy New Year!

Well, it's a new year and mommy says I have to write in here because it's been so long...I haven't written since last year!!! hee hee. Anyway, I had a pretty good Christmas but I really hope mommy and daddy never decide to have any kids. We were at my grandma and grandpa's place in Kamloops and my cousins were there...Cody is three and Nate is one and a half and boy did they ever find it fun to torment me. They would come up to me and pet me and then when they thought no one was looking Nate would kick me and Cody would poke me in my eyes. Apparently I am some kind of fun toy to play with or something. Ouch! I hardly got any sleep for the whole time we were there because there was so much activity going on all the time. Boy did I ever get spoiled though...Grandpa loved to give me food and treats and I also got lots of new treats and toys from Santa. So I wanted to make a new years resolution but mommy doesn't really like them too much...she said something about I should just do good things all year instead of waiting until new years to say I'm gonna do something. If I was going to make a resolution I would resolve to stay more clean so I won't have to have any baths and I can go up on the couch more often. It's hard to stay clean though when my park is so dirty and muddy all the time and I just can't resist running through the puddles and drinking from them too. It's not my fault that mommy and daddy take me to play there is it??
Well, I have to go get some sleep and mommy and daddy are going out for a little while so mommy has to shut the computer off. I hope all you doggies (okay and kitties too I guess) had a really good Christmas and happy new year to everyone.

Almost Christmas,

Wow, its coming fast mommy says. Mommy is all finished her work so she has been able to play with me a lot more. Daddy says Mommy is the master now. heehee. I guess that's what her school was called...master or somethin'. So, we are getting ready to go to Kamloops for Christmas. Mommy took a whole bunch of the presents there already and now there are only a couple left. Only one is for me :( I guess now I have to wait til we are in Kamloops and won't be able to convince my mommy to let me have them early. Daddy went back to work and silly daddy took the chuckit with him. So mommy and I had to play frisbee until I broke that and then she had to throw a stupid stick for me. I want my chuckit so I wasn't being very cooperative today. It was pouring rain and there were really big puddles in them so I had to splash and play in them so mommy would know that I'm not gonna put up with this no chuckit business anymore! Well, I am tired from bein' a brat so I am off to have a sleep. I'm getting nervous, mommy seems to be getting those big boxes out and putting all our stuff in them...every time she did that before we left to go to a new house. Don't wanna leave!!! Bye for now and a big hug to my friend Oliver who is going to his new home pretty soon and Wesley who is gonna have a new baby brother or sister pretty soon.
Oh yeah...mommy says she is gonna add my friend Scamp to her family on here. I guess technically he's my uncle since his mommy and daddy are my grandma and grandpa but I'm lots bigger than him. He is reaaaaaally old though...doesn't like to play with me very much and doesn't get very excited when I come there. Anyway, he will be on here soon so make sure you stop in and say hi!

So happy...

Mommy and I are so happy right now because my friend Oliver found a forever home!!! His foster mom says his new home is going to be great and the couple who are taking him will love him lots and lots! Mommy was so happy she was crying...silly Mommy. I thought she was sad cuz he wasn't going to come and live with us but she said she is really happy that he found a home in California cuz he doesn't have to travel really far to live with us. Plus his foster mom can be close enough to see him still. Yay for Oliver!!!
In other news...that white stuff is coming down like crazy right now. It's not stickin' on the ground though so mommy says we can't have a snowball fight yet (whatever that means) but I still got to catch it on my tongue! Anyway, gotta go cuz Mommy is really busy but yay for Oliver. I hope his new mommy and daddy will keep his webpage for him so he can still be my pal and I can hear all about what he is up to.
Daddy's coming home tonight and then we are going on the ferry boat tomorrow. I'll let you know how Daddy does at his fireman interview when we get back.

Let it snow let it snow let it snow!

Well, I heard at the park today that that white stuff might be coming back tomorrow. Mommy is looking forward to taking me to the park to play in it if its true!! Plus, even better news...Daddy is coming home tomorrow!!!!! We are going to Victoria on the ferry boat again for daddy's interview with the fire department. Plus mommy says she will be done working on her school work by Monday night except she has to do a little bit of reading because she has to defend her paper on Friday. But no more writing which means she won't have to ignore me most of the day after tomorrow. She has tried really hard to pay lots of attention to me and I actually love it when she feels guilty because she gives me lots of treats :) Guilt is great (when it's not me who's feeling guilty that is!) We got some good news today we hope...Oliver's mom wrote to say that he might have found a home...he will know in a couple of days. Wouldn't that be great if Oliver was at his forever home in time for Christmas? Even though we would have liked to have him come live with us (I'm still not sure if that would be a good idea but Mommy promises it would be fun) Mommy is really happy that he might have a home closer to where he lives now. Us dogs don't really like to travel really far like that and this way Oliver's foster mom would be able to visit him still too. Keep your fingers crossed that this is the forever home that my buddy Oliver has been waiting for!!!
Before I go relax with Mommy I want to say Happy Birthday to my friend Wes. It's his birthday today and I forgot to send him a card...so HAPPY BIRTHDAY WES!!!!!!! Good night everyone.
