Arrival Story:
After the death of my previous hound, Hunter, I was really missing having a dog. I just happened to check out the local shelter's web listings and saw Copper's picture. He was just over 3 mos. old and was turned in by his family. I melted.
We've had so many ..ahem.. challenges with him but now that he's been with us for a full year things are getting better.
Bio:
Copper came to us already named.
Copper's tail is kinked in the middle and no one knows if he was born this way or if it was broken when he was a wee pup.
A neighbor dubbed him "Lightnin'" because his tail looks like a bolt of lightning. I still wish we'd renamed him because it sounds like such a great name for a Coonhound! (As long as you say it with a southern accent, of course. ;)
