Arrival Story: I was lucky enough to find Oscar through an add in the paper. I grew up with Boxers and other large dogs as pets and I knew a Boxer would be perfect for my family. Oscar was the only puppy left in his litter. He was covered in mange and had several bacterial infections. He was only 9 1/2 weeks old but he look like a little old man with a really bad sunburn. It has taken several years and numerous rounds of dips, but Oscar is finally mange free. He will continue to have health problems due to the attack on his immune system at such a young age.
Bio: In May of 2007 Oscar had oral surgery for dentigerist cysts that had formed inside his jaw bone.
In November of 2007 Oscar had surgery for Mast Cell Tumors that had grown on his back left leg and left side. They were stage 1 and the vet was able to fully remove the cancerous growth.
Currently Oscar is doing great! He's happy and trying to talk his daddy into getting a new friend, possibly a girlfriend! :-)
